今回は、ご本人の了承を得て、フランスにお住まいのミシュリーヌさんをご紹介します。
This time, with her permission, I'm going to introduce Micheline-san, who lives in France.
Cette fois, avec son accord, je vais présenter Micheline-san qui habite en France.
ミシュリーヌさんに出会ったのは、コロナウイルスで海外渡航が制限されていた頃でした。
I met her during the period when overseas travel was restricted due to the coronavirus.
Ma rencontre avec elle remonte l'époque où les voyages à l'étranger étaient restreints en raison du Covid.
問い合わせには、こう書かれていました。
In our initial contact, she wrote:
Lors de notre premier contact, elle a écrit ainsi :
「日本語で話せるようになって、息子と日本に新しくできた家族を驚かせたいんです。そんなこと可能かしら？」
"I would like to surprise my son and my new Japanese family by being able to have conversations in Japanese. Do you believe that is possible?"
« Je voudrais faire une surprise à mon fils et à ma nouvelle famille japonaise en étant capable d'avoir des conversations. Croyez-vous cela possible ? »
とてもワクワクするご依頼だったので、喜んで引き受けました。
I found her request so exciting that I accepted it with pleasure.
J'ai trouvé sa demande si excitante que je l'ai acceptée avec plaisir.
日本語のいろはから始めて、基礎文法を少し学んだ後、休養期間を経て、去年、再び戻って来てくださいました。
Starting with the ABCs of Japanese, she learned a little basic grammar, took a break, and then returned last year.
Après avoir commencé par l'ABC du japonais et appris un peu de grammaire, elle a fait une pause, puis est revenue l'année dernière.
来日時には、ご家族だけでなく、お孫さんの学校や近くのスーパー等で、地元の人々とも短い会話を交わせるようになってきているようです。
During her visit to Japan, it seems that she is becoming able to have brief conversations not only with her family but also with local people such as at her grandchild’s schools or the nearby supermarket.
Lorsqu'elle vient au Japon, il paraît qu'elle arrive maintenant à échanger quelques mots non seulement avec sa famille, mais aussi avec les locaux, par exemple à l'école et à la crèche de ses petits-enfants ou au supermarché du coin.
そして、5月にはフランスで初めてお会いすることができました。
And then, in May, we were able to meet in person in France for the first time!
Et puis, en mai dernier, nous avons pu nous rencontrer en personne en France pour la première fois !
次回お会いするのは、大阪か京都でしょうか。
I wonder if our next meeting will be in Osaka or Kyoto.
